What do you get when you combine Office Depot®, Sharpie® and the Teen Choice 09 Awards? Something for charity of course. The Teen Choice 09 Awards take place Sunday August 9th, 2009 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA and will air on FOX television August 10th, 2009 at 8pm EST/PST.
The Teen Choice 09 Awards will be hosted by none other than the Jonas Brothers. During the Teen Choice 09 Awards celebrities will be able to walk through the Backstage Creations Celebrity Gift Retreat where they can autograph and design a backpack with Sharpie® markers.
What is cool about this is that the celebrity autographed back-pack designs will be donated to City of Hope. City of Hope has been ranked as one of "America's Best Hospital's" according to U.S. News and World Report and are one of the leaders in cancer, urology and diabetes research, treatment and education and also in other life-threatening diseases.
Celebrity attendee's of the Teen Choice Awards who choose to autograph and design a back-pack for charity will receive a personalized set of Sharpie® markers in honor of sponsors Office Depot and Sharpie's "My Project Backpack" design contest. Celebrities will be entered the contest and could potentially see their design reproduced and sold in Office Depot stores for the back-to-school 2010 season.
"My Project Backpack" is open to everyone over age 5 not just celebrities. A template is available on the website for downloading as well as rules, regulations and guidelines. Grand prize is $5,000 and seeing the winning design in Office Depot's nationwide in 2010. Contest ends on September 19, 2009 so get your entry in.
Celebrities that will be at the Teen Choice 09 Awards include The Jonas Brothers, The Black Eyed Peas, Vanessa Hudgens, "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Miley Cyrus and many others. We hope that each and every one of them walk through the Backstage Creations Celebrity Gift Retreat to join in support for City of Hope.
Matt Dodd, Senior Director of Development for City of Hope said in the press release “We’re grateful for the support from Office Depot, Sharpie and Teen Choice 2009.
